Molly Wilson is a dynamic actress, singer, entertainer and writer from Vancouver, Canada. She is an experienced stage and film actor and is as comfortable working a crowd as she is working in front of a camera. Recent performances include her own monthly show, Molly's Comedy Cabaret at Seven Dining Lounge and XY Nightclub in Vancouver, Reinvention of Disco and Little Red from Disney’s Into the Woods for SimonPure Marketing. Molly has also performed in Awkward Stage's productions of TITUS: The Light and Delightful Musical Comedy of Titus Andronicus at the York Theatre and Pick of the Fringe winning show, Carry-On: A Musical at this year's Vancouver Fringe Festival.
Molly’s film roles include ‘Claudia Clemp’ in Camp Death III: The Final Summer, ‘Older Mary (voice-over) in The Mary Contest and ‘Cashier’ in I am a Cat as well as various other independent film projects.
An Ovation Award Winner for Outstanding Female Gypsy, Molly continues to pursue her passion of musical theatre. Some of her performances in Vancouver include ‘Nancy Foyle’ in Sail Away, ‘Claire’ in Changing Minds and ‘Anabel’ in Bunked! The Musical, both with Awkward Stage Productions. She also continues to perform in numerous cabarets throughout Vancouver. With a current UK Visa, she is available to work in both Canada and the United Kingdom and has experience working as a resident entertainer at Holme Lacy House in Hereford, England.
Molly trained at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta where she earned her Diploma in Theatre Arts. While in Edmonton she played a variety of roles including ‘Sonya’ in Uncle Vanya, ‘Maria’ in Twelfth Night, ‘Mrs. Paroo’ in Music Man, ‘Winnifred’ in Once Upon A Mattress and ‘Madeline Bassett/Aunt Emmeline’ in The Mating Season. Molly was also in the Canadian Premiere of Party Worth Crashing in Edmonton re-joined the cast the following year for the Edmonton and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals. She has been writing and performing in her own cabarets since 2012.
Molly is an experienced performance coach, specializing in song interpretation and performance. She has taught both improv and musical theatre workshops.
Molly is an extremely dedicated performer who is very passionate about what she does and very grateful for the opportunity to pursue that passion.
